We’re just two months away from the most amazing native plant sale in the world!

Okay, perhaps we are just a little bit biased—but it’s going to be awesome. Check out our updated plant sale information page HERE.

And in order to make the Upstate Spring 2025 Native Plant Sale as awesome as it is going to be, it will require lots of volunteers. This is where you come in. We’re looking for individuals who are willing to help us out by working in one or more of the following areas:

  • Check-Out/Cashier: Assist with processing transactions and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  • Equipment Transport: Help load and unload plants and equipment—especially if you can bring your truck, trailer, or SUV!
  • Greenhouse Support: Move and organize plants at the nursery to prepare them for transport.
  • Inventory Assistance: Count and organize plants post-sale to help us keep track of our stock.
  • Site Management: Set up and arrange plants, tables, chairs, and other equipment to create a welcoming sale environment.
  • Front Entrance: Greet customers, manage entry lines, and provide information about the sale.
  • Holding and Loading: Assist customers by holding purchased plants and helping them load these into their vehicles.
  • Safety and Traffic: Ensure that safety procedures are followed and help manage traffic for a secure event.
  • Hospitality and Volunteer Welcome: Keep our volunteers refreshed and informed by providing a friendly welcome and ensuring the refreshment area is stocked.

Special Volunteer Benefit: As a token of our appreciation, all volunteers will receive an exclusive perk—early access to the sale! That means you’ll have the unique opportunity to shop the day before the official sale begins, giving you first pick of our fantastic native plants.

Bring your enthusiasm for native plants, your eagerness to help educate the public about native species and your reusable water bottle! In addition to native plants we are committed to hydration. Training is provided, so no previous experience is required—just a willingness to pitch in and learn.

Don’t wait until the last minute. Don’t think someone else will sign up—we need you! If you have volunteered with us before, come back! And if you haven’t volunteered yet, now is your chance to support a great cause: to get native plants out into the world, to leave your community better than you found it, to save the planet!

Through your efforts, we can grow greener, we can grow better, we can grow back native!
