On March 9, Easley City Council voted unanimously to adopt a Recommended Plant List (100% Native Plants) to the city’s Unified Development Ordinance.

Every tree and shrub recommended is native and unique to the character and climate of the city of Easley. These plants are well adapted to local conditions and support local birds and insects much better than non-native plants do. All plants on the list are easy to find.

Representing SCNPS Upstate, Rick Huffman worked with the City of Easley to develop the recommendation.

The plant list makes it easy for developers to choose trees best suited to the local area.
