Aaron Davis: “Trees: An American Tradition”
On November 18, we welcome Aaron Davis, Executive Director of TreesUpstate, for a presentation that connects the modern tree-planting movement to its deeper historical roots. Aaron will explore how, in the wake of the American Civil War, tree planting emerged as a powerful symbol of healing—both for the land and for a divided nation.
While TreesUpstate is only twenty years old, this presentation traces its place within a much longer movement, highlighting the challenges we face today and what’s being done now to make trees part of the solution.
All are welcome at this free event.
