2025 Upstate Spring Native Plant Sale

FAQs for Plant Sale Volunteers

The Spring Plant Sale Depends on You! Whether you’re a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, we’d love to have you lend a hand in the weeks leading up to the sale or on the big day. All volunteers must register online—sign up here!
Read on to find answers to all of your questions about volunteering.

Q. What kinds of jobs are available to me as a volunteer at the sale?
A: We’re so glad you asked — you can learn all about them HERE.

Q: How will I find out what is expected of me as a volunteer?
A: Once you have been assigned a role, your name will be given to the Team leader for your area(s); they will contact you and provide instructions and additional training based on the job.

Q: When can I buy plants?
A: Volunteers will enjoy first dibs on our plant selection in a calm and relaxed setting. Early access begins on Friday, April 11th at 1 PM.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: We will accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards at the sale.

Q: Do I need to sign another waiver if I have already completed one for another SCNPS event?
A: Yes, but you do so by submitting your volunteer registration for the plant sale. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of the SCNPS Liability Release Waiver.

Q: Where do I go when I arrive for my shift at Conestee Park?
A: On Friday the Volunteer Coordinators will be near the front entrance of the sale. On Saturday, volunteers should check in by 8am. Just look for the Volunteer Table, where you will receive a vest and a name tag and be directed to your team leader!

Q: Where should I park?
A: Please park away from the plant sale area at the Stadium and leave spaces up close for our customers.

Q: Will food and drink be available?
A: Water will be available to refill your water bottle. Snacks and cookies will be available, but we strongly recommend that you bring something more substantial since many of us will be working through lunch!

We will be updating this page regularly as the sale date approaches. Check back often to learn more!
