The Greenville County Council has the opportunity to forever conserve habitat in the center of one of the fastest growing urban areas in South Carolina encompassing most of the western face of Paris Mountain.

The advancement of the 146-acre Shiloh Ridge parcel will come down to a Nov 1st vote by Greenville County to approve a $400,000 grant proposed by the newly formed Historic and Natural Resources Trust to match a larger private sector offering totaling a 270 addition of preserved and protected habitat and as many as 17 miles of new hiking trials.

This is rare and historic opportunity for the Upstate that is supported by the Upstate Chapter of the South Carolina Native Plant Society.  We encourage our members and readers to reach out to urge your Council member to vote YES on this rare and historic Shiloh Ridge grant to be added to Paris Mountain.

Click here for contact information on the Council member for your district and ask them to vote YES prior to November 1st.
