Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

The SCNPS will be exhibiting at a number of Upstate events in the coming weeks, and we’d love to have you help us out. Bonus: Before or after your shift, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the event itself! (Even if you can’t volunteer, come as a participant and stop by the booth and say “hi”!)

Saturday, March 4, Gardening for Life Project (GFLP) Celebration, Columbus, NC — 1/2 day shift; full day of learning

A free community event featuring educational exhibits, resources, and organizations promoting healthy habitats; featuring Dr. Doug Tallamy, NY Times bestselling author of Bringing Nature Home and Nature’s Best Hope.

Saturday, March 18, BellFest, Devils Fork State Park, near Salem, SC — morning and afternoon shift options

An annual celebration of the rare and beautiful Oconee Bell (Shortia galacifolia), that includes an educational presentation, an interpretive hike, entertainment, vendors, exhibitors, and a silent auction.

Saturday, April 1, Barrels & Beer,11am-2pm at the Carolina Bauernhaus, Anderson, SC

Despite its name, this is fun for the whole family!
