Her artwork features a variety of native plant species including milkweed (Asclepias sp.), scarlet beebalm (Monarda dydima), purple coneflower (Echinaceae purpurea), coreopsis (Coreopsis sp.), rattlesnake master (Eryngium yuccifolium), and little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) and some native insects (monarch caterpillar, lady beetles, milkweed bugs, and aphids) that rely on these plants.
