2026 Upstate Spring Native Plant Sale
FAQs for Plant Sale Shoppers
Join us for the exhilarating 2026 Upstate Spring Native Plant Sale, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9 AM to 1 PM. We’re excited to host the sale again at the Stadium at Conestee Park! Below are answers to your burning questions to ensure you have a great shopping experience.
Q: This is my first time attending the SC Upstate Native Plant Sale. What should I do?
A: Come to the Stadium at Conestee Park located at 840 Mauldin Road in Greenville. Volunteers will be there to guide you to the right place. Doors open at 9 AM. If you’re planning on purchasing multiple plants, please bring your own cart or wagon since these will not be provided. Take your time to explore and select your favorite plants. Once you’re ready, our Checkout Team will be on hand to assist you in finalizing your purchase smoothly.
Q: I’m a member of the SCNPS. Can I enter the sale early?
A: Yes, SCNPS members will enjoy a special 30-minute early access starting at 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 18. Ensure your membership is up to date to take advantage of this early bird entry.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Please bring cash or check to purchase your wonderful plants.
Q: What plants will be available?
A: We will have a diverse inventory on offer at the sale, including more than 200 species. A list will be posted on the SCNPS website ahead of the sale. Details will also be available on our SCNPS social media.
Q: How are purchases handled for vendor-specific plants at the sale?
A: Please note that if you purchase plants from independent vendors at the sale, you will need to pay each vendor directly. The main checkout will only handle transactions for plants provided by the SCNPS. This helps streamline the payment process and ensures that vendors manage their own sales efficiently.
Q: How are purchases handled for SCNPS Book Booth at the sale?
A: Please note that books purchased at the SCNPS Book Booth will also be handled separately from the plant sale.
Q: Can I bring my pet to the sale?
A: Pets are not permitted at the sale area to maintain safety and order. However, there is a dog park nearby where your pets can play—just be sure someone you know is there to keep an eye on them while you shop.
Q: Will there be carts or wagons available?
A: Remember to bring your own cart or wagon. This helps us focus resources on having a smooth sale and interacting with our wonderful community!
Q: How do I know what native plants will grow in my yard?
A: SCNPS partnered with Clemson Extension to create the Native Plant Directory. Select the type of plant of interest, your region of the state, desired plant features, and more to see the possibilities. Plants available at our sales change from year to year, so not all plants on the Directory are available at each sale and there may be plants for sale that are not yet in the Directory.
We’re thrilled to welcome you to this exciting event, where you’ll find an incredible selection of South Carolina’s native plants. Check the SCNPS website as the date approaches for any final updates. See you there!
