Tall leggy plant similar to Oleander,but has small purple flowers..I have never seen an oleander with purple flowers…Leaves are very similar to another plant in South Carolina that only blooms in the fall,and they bloom yellow flowers..still not sure on that plant, either :)
The plant is in the back ground, in the corner of the porch and the side of the house..

I’ve always called this Ruellia brittoniana – a member of the Acanthaceae sometimes called Mexican Petunia. There may have been a recent name change, but you can find it on the Internet under this name.
