Jeff will discuss French botanist André Michaux (1746-1802) and his lowcountry connections, including the plants he categorized and introduced to SC. In 1786, Michaux established (and maintained for a decade) a botanical garden of 111 acres near what is now Aviation Avenue in N. Charleston. Jeff is a SCNPS member serves on the André Michaux Garden Committee of the Charleston Horticultural Society.

Fall Native Plant Sale!

Parking lot of Charles Towne Landing, 1500 Old Towne Road, Charleston

Sale to include colorful perennials, trees, shrubs, ferns, native grasses, and edibles. Cash, check, or credit card. Admission to the plant sale is free.
