Found in 5605 Bush River Road Saluda Shoals Park
in a meadow under the power right of way

Hi Jeanette,

your plant is called Youngia japonica, the Oriental false hawksbeard.  It is not native, but it is not usually considered to be a problem weed. It is in the Asteraceae. You can find out more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youngia_japonica
