It is growing and apparently propagating through a root system that is actually thicker than the trunks and running through rocks! It is all over the west facing slope and growing about 7′ tall on a heavily wooded track at the creek and up the hill about 75′

sorry, I cannot determine what this shrub is from this picture. I need close ups of the leaves at least, and, if possible, any flowers or fruits on it. A distance shot is not enough to allow me to identify this plant. You may re-submit more photos if you wish.
