Took grandkids hiking SC park Landsford Canal State Park
Saw this one could not identify

Can you identify for me?
Lots of sweet shrub along trail which in bloom!

Hi Joanne,

this is the lyre-leaved sage, a native plant in the mint family, Salvia lyrata.  It is rather common along roadsides in the southeastern states.
