Rhus copallina from Mary, SC

What is this white berried plant full of leaves that are starting to turn a pretty orange that grows in dry, sandy soil?

Hi Mary,

your plant is the winged sumac, Rhus copallina. This is not a poison sumac. The photo you sent looks more like it has flower buds to me.  The fruits will be red.

Sincerely,
