Ponyfoot from Marilyn in SC

A vine/ground cover with leaves no more than an inch across that resemble violet seedlings. I have let several patches grow and I have not noticed any flowers.

Marilyn, this is Dichondra carolinensis, a popular groundcover.  It is in the Morning Glory family, Convolvulaceae. The flowers are tiny, erect, and no longer than the leaves.
