Oenothera laciniata from Teresa in South Carolina

Posted on |

This yellow wild flower grows on our farm in upstate SC Laurens Co.

Hi Teresa,

I had a bit of trouble with the image because I could not see much of the plant, but based upon what I can see this is one of the evening primroses, Oenothera laciniata.  It is a native wildflower.

I apologize for the delay in my reply. I had software issues that only now have been fixed. Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

Dr. Steven Hill, Botanist, SCNPS
