This is a plant sent to the funeral for a friend….it has opposite leaves and a cluster of small orange/yellow flowers. Purchased fro a local Lowe’s.

these flowers seem to be Ixora coccinea ‘Maui sunset’ a nice ornamental shrub grown for its flowers. Ixora, a tropical to semitropical plant, has quite a few varieties in several colors including red and white and peach. It is in the coffee family, Rubiaceae.
