your plant is Indian strawberry, Duchesnea indica. Indian as in India, its place of origin – it is not native. It looks like a strawberry but has yellow flowers, and the fruits have no taste, though edible. It is considered a nasty weed and is hard to get rid of once established because it is so prolific.
