Going through old photos & found this picture from October 2012 of a plant growing the the woods on Johns Island (Charleston area). I’m guessing Verbesina???

Hi Virginia,
this is an interesting mint called Hyptis alata, the clustered bushmint. It is a member of a large genus of more tropical mints. Nice picture! I don’t remember seeing this in the wild.
