A Gnaphalium from Mary, SC

Because of its similar color, is this related to dusty miller, grown in dry, sandy soil?

Hi Mary,

it is in the same family as dusty miller, the composite family or Asteraceae, but not very closely related.  This is called rabbit tobacco, Gnaphalium obtusifolium.
