Has red tube like blooms
Hi Lynn,
this is an attractive native plant called coral bean, Erythrina herbacea. Tropical relatives in the genus are trees, but ours is more like a herb. It has bright red seeds, and is pollinated by hummingbirds. The seeds are considered to be poisonous. I don’t know where you are, but his is normally found near the coast.
