yes, this is a special plant with wonderfully aromatic flowers. It is called paperbush, Edgeworthia chrysantha, and it is not native but is popular in gardens. It flowers very early! Look here for more information: https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/all/edgeworthia-chrysantha/
