Blue mist flower from Tom———–in SC

Growing is shade along Stevens creek. Blooming now. Thanks tp

tp,

this is the blue mist flower, which looks a lot like our cultivated ageratum, but is not the same thing.  It has been called Eupatorium coelestinum, and now more commonly is called Conioclinium coelestinum.  It is a widespread and attractive species, but I usually don’t see it in large colonies.

Sincerely,

Steve Hill, Ph.D.   SCNPS
