Piedmont: Native Plants for the Shade

September 25, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We are very excited to have Paul Thompson, Clemson Horticultural Extension Agent for York, Chester and Lancaster counties, as our speaker; his topic will be “Native Plants for the Shade.”

Mr. Thompson, a Certified Nursery Professional and coordinator of the local Master Gardener Program, regularly conducts horticulture education programs for consumers and professionals, is the former co-host of and now a frequent guest on The Gardener’s Bench radio program on WRHI 1340 AM, and is a regular guest on SCETV’s Making It Grow.  He has also been a featured speaker at the Master Gardeners of York County Joy of Gardening Symposium held each spring.

We’ll meet at 6:30 pm on the screened porch at the back of the Museum of York County for light refreshments, then move upstairs to the Naturalist Center at 7:00 pm for the program.  With time for Q & A, plus a few chapter announcements, we expect to be finished about 8:30 pm.
