Piedmont: Native Plant Week walk
October 13 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Open to all SC NPS members and the public, the Piedmont Chapter will kick-off SC Native Plant Week with an educational hike at the Anne Springs Close Greenway (Fort Mill, SC) on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Titled, Native Plants and the World They Support, this discovery walk will ask the questions – What makes a plant “pest resistant” and do we really want that? Why are native plants important to all of us? Led by our own, Nancy Leach, a SC Master Naturalist, we will seek to discover and share how native plants support life on our big blue planet. This walk will be a good one for kids and dogs, so bring the family!
When: Saturday, October 13, 2018, 9am – 11am
Where: Adventure Road Entrance at Anne Springs Close Greenway (104 Adventure Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715) Meet in the gravel parking lot to the right, past the Welcome Station.
