Biologist April Punsalan will discuss the rich history of ethnobotany in the Lowcountry and will highlight several useful plant species. She will then shift the discussion to the western territory of Brazil, State of Acre. April will cover her recent cultural immersion with the Huni Kuin tribe and draw parallels between the Huni Kuin and the indigenous people of North America.
