A yellow false foxglove from Mary in SC

Posted on |

Is this a form of primrose, grown in very dry, sunny, SC sandy soil?

Hi Mary,

this is Aureolaria pectinata, the combleaf yellow false foxglove. A very nice wildflower, for sure. Actually it is related to snapdragons.  You can find out more about it here: http://uswildflowers.com/detail.php?SName=Aureolaria%20pectinata

Sincerely,

Steve Hill, Botanist, SCNPS
