A skullcap from Jim in SC

Posted on |

This is growing along the shoreline of Adams Millpond at Goodale State Park near Camden, SC

Hi Jim,

your plant is Scutellaria integrifolia, the narrow-leaved skullcap, a type of wild mint [but without a mint aroma].  It is widespread and common in the state.

Sincerely,

Steven R. Hill, Ph.D., Botanist, SCNPS
