Elderberry from Kevin

thought it was water hemlock but not sure. has same umbria white flower head. flat across top of flowers. thought maybe cow parsnip but the leafs are different. dont know.

 

Hi Kevin,  the plant whose stem is shown is the elderberry, Sambucus canadensis – which has pinnate leaves which are opposite. This was easily solved when you sent to me images of the flower cluster later.   I hope this helps. – Steve Hill
