About 18″ tall, on the east side of the house, well drained area. Don’t know if it is a weed or a flower of some sort. Has clusters of fluffy purple flowers. It has been in bloom for a month or so.

this is an occasional wildflower often found along roadsides in our area. I learned it as Eupatorium coelestinum, but the current name is Conoclinium coelestinum – the blue mist flower. I sometimes call it wild ageratum. A very nice native plant. You can find out more about it here:
