This mushroom was growing on my lawn in Loris during the Joaquin storm. Can you tell me what kind it is and whether it is edible? and I’m n ot sure if the next picture is the same type or not.

I’m sorry Ken, but I do not identify mushrooms – as it is not one of my areas of expertise. I suggest you ask one of the mushroom/fungi ID groups on Facebook, perhaps. Mushrooms and fungi are not considered to be plants, but are in their own kingdom.
