The South Carolina Native Plant Society (SCNPS) and the South Carolina Botanical Garden (SCBG) are excited to offer a Certificate in Native Plant Studies program. To read more, click here.
In this field identification course you learn about the foliage and flowers of primarily herbaceous plants, although some shrubs will surely sneak in. Discover how to use a key to aid plant identification. This class is taught by Allison Kelly, Natural Heritage Trail Manager, and Sue Watts.
Both spring and fall herbaceous plant identification classes are required for certification. Pre-requisite: Basic Botany.
Location: Hayden Conference Center at the South Carolina Botanical Garden.
